Wrenfield is a small practice in Vale, Oregon, run by one practitioner, for people whose symptoms have outlasted the usual answers.
Mara spent nine years as a nurse in a hospital in Portland, most of them on a ward where people came back with the same symptoms and the same normal labs. She trained in functional practice from 2018 and opened Wrenfield in 2021, in the house on Orchard Lane where she grew up.
The practice takes twelve clients at a time. That number is what one person can hold while still reading every result and answering every message herself.
Outside the practice she keeps two hives and runs the trail up Vale Hill most mornings.
How the method worksThe intake is two hours, the check-ins are forty-five minutes, and nothing is decided in the last five minutes of a visit.
We order from the history and read functional ranges, and we stop when a panel has told us what we need.
Changes come in stages, and nothing is added until the last step has settled, so the plan fits a working week.
Visits in person happen on Tuesdays and Thursdays in the front room of the house, which has a long table, a kettle, and the afternoon light. The rest of the week is on video.
There is parking on the lane and a bus stop at the end of it. The house is a mile from the center of Vale and forty minutes from Portland.
The address, the hours, and the mapThe discovery call is where we work this out together, but here's the short version.
Twenty minutes, free, on the phone or on video. We talk through your history and whether Wrenfield is the right place for it.
