How it works

The Wrenfield method

Six stages in an order the body can manage, one practitioner throughout, and a plan that changes as the results come in. This page lays out what each part involves and how long it takes.

A field at sunrise

Before the program

Two conversations and a set of tests come before any plan is written.

  1. 01

    A discovery call

Twenty minutes on the phone or on video, free. You tell us the history, and we tell you whether Wrenfield is a fit. If it isn't, we say so and suggest where else to look.

  2. 02

    Testing and the full history

A two-hour intake covers everything from childhood onward: illnesses, moves, jobs, the years that were fine, and the year things changed. The panels are ordered from what we hear, not from a fixed list, and most people run three.

  3. 03

    The plan, in stages

Results are read with you in a ninety-minute visit. The plan follows the six stages below, with a check-in every two weeks and messaging in between.

The six stages

Foundations covers the first three over twelve weeks. The full method covers all six over six months. Click a stage to read it.

The testing

We order from what the history says, and most people run three of these. Lab fees are billed by the lab.

Comprehensive stool panel

The flora, digestion and inflammation markers, and the organisms standard cultures don't grow.

Stages 2 and 3

Organic acids

How the cells are making energy, and markers for yeast, bacteria, and nutrient gaps.

Stages 1 and 6

Mycotoxin panel

Mold toxins the body is carrying, read alongside the home checklist.

Stage 4

Dried urine hormone panel

Cortisol across the day, and the sex hormones and their pathways.

Stage 6

Standard blood work

A full metabolic and thyroid panel, iron, vitamin D, and B12, read against functional ranges.

Every stage

Between visits

The check-in

Every two weeks, forty-five minutes on video. We go through what changed, what didn't, and what the next two weeks hold. Nothing is added until the last step has settled.

Messaging

Questions between visits go through the member area and are answered within one working day. A bad week doesn't have to wait for the next check-in.

Questions

How long before I notice anything?

Most people notice the first changes in the foundations stage, in the first three or four weeks. The deeper stages take longer, and some things get briefly worse before they settle, which is what the check-ins are for.

Do I have to stop seeing my doctor?

No. Wrenfield works alongside your doctor, and we ask for your recent blood work so nothing is run twice. We don't diagnose or treat disease.

What if the tests come back normal?

Functional ranges are narrower than the lab's reference ranges, so a normal result often still points somewhere. If a panel shows nothing useful, we say so and don't order more.

How much time does it take each week?

Plan on the check-in every two weeks and twenty minutes a day for the foundations. The recipes and the library are built for a working week.

Can I do it from another state?

Yes. Most of the program is on video, and the labs ship a kit to your door.
