Tide Social Studio (referred to here as we or us) respects your privacy. This page explains what we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and what you can do about it.

Information you give us

When you use our contact or discovery form, we collect what you choose to fill in. That can include your name, email address, business name, what stage your business is at, which services you are interested in, your goals, your budget range, your timeline, how you heard about us, and anything you write in your message.

When you request a free resource or ask to be notified about something that is coming soon, we collect your email address, your first name if you provide it, and which product you are interested in.

When you buy a digital product, checkout is handled by Polar, our merchant of record. Polar processes your payment and any applicable sales tax under their own privacy policy. We receive your name, email, and order details. We never see or store your full payment card number.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, our host records standard technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages you request. This is used to serve, secure, and troubleshoot the site.

Cookies and advertising tracking

We use the Pinterest Tag on this site. It sets cookies and sends Pinterest information about your visit, such as the pages you view and actions you take. We use it to measure how our Pinterest content and ads perform and to reach people who may be interested in our work. This is advertising and analytics tracking, and it is the main cookie-setting technology on the site.

We also tell Pinterest when you complete certain actions, such as joining a waitlist or requesting a free download, so we can measure whether our ads are working. In addition, a Pinterest feature called automatic enhanced match is enabled. If you enter your email address into one of our forms, a scrambled (hashed) version of it may be sent to Pinterest so they can match it to a Pinterest account. Your email is sent hashed rather than as readable text, but Pinterest can still use it to recognize an existing Pinterest account.

You can limit this. You can block or clear cookies in your browser, turn on your browser's tracking protection, and adjust your personalization and data settings inside your Pinterest account under Settings, then Privacy and data. You can also read Pinterest's privacy policy to see how they handle it on their end.

How we use your information

We use it to respond to your inquiry and provide our services, to send you the free resource or launch notification you asked for, to deliver products you purchase along with their receipts, and to understand how people find and use the site so we can improve it. We do not sell your personal information.

Who we share it with

We rely on a few trusted services, each operating under its own privacy policy. Resend delivers our form submissions to our inbox and sends you confirmation emails. Cloudflare hosts the site. Polar processes purchases as our merchant of record. Pinterest receives tracking data through the Pinterest Tag described above. We share your information only as needed for these services, or where required by law.

Data retention

We keep your information only as long as we need it to respond to you, deliver what you asked for, fulfill orders, or meet our legal and tax obligations.

Your choices

You can unsubscribe from any email we send you. You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your personal information at any time by emailing hello@tidesocialstudio.com, and you can opt out of the Pinterest tracking using the controls described above.

Depending on where you live, for example in the EU, the UK, or California, you may have additional rights over your data, such as the right to request a copy of it or object to how it is used. Email us and we will honor them.

Children

This site is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version will always be posted here with its date.
