Tide Social Studio (referred to here as we or us) respects your privacy. This page explains what we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and what you can do about it.

Information you give us

When you use our contact or discovery form, we collect what you choose to fill in. That can include your name, email address, business name, what stage your business is at, which services you're interested in, your goals, your budget range, your timeline, and anything you write in your message.

When you request a free resource or ask to be notified about something that's coming soon, we collect your email address, your first name, your last name if you choose to provide it, and which product you're interested in. We keep a record of those requests so we can understand which Tide resources are useful to you without creating duplicate contact records.

The Tide Digest is separate from those requests. We add you to the monthly digest only when you check its dedicated consent box and submit that form. We record your current subscribed or unsubscribed status, when you made that choice, where you made it, and the version of the consent language shown to you. Downloading a resource or joining a launch list does not subscribe you to the digest.

When you buy a digital product, checkout is handled by Polar, our merchant of record. Polar processes your payment and any applicable sales tax under their own privacy policy. We receive your name, email, and order details. We never see or store your full payment card number.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, our host records standard technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages you request. This is used to serve, secure, and troubleshoot the site.

Cloudflare also provides aggregate traffic analytics for this site. A small script runs on each page and reports which page you viewed, the site that referred you, and general details such as browser, device type, and approximate country. It sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser, and it is not used to identify you or to follow you across other websites. Cloudflare receives your IP address with that request, as it already does for every request it serves for us; what we see are aggregate counts rather than individual visitors. Cloudflare's network adds this script before Tide's own code runs, so it is always on and the privacy choices below cannot switch it off.

Pigment runs in a separate, cookie-free Tide tool at pigment.tidesocialstudio.com. Palettes and social-handle settings you save there stay in that browser, and images or font files you open are processed in the browser rather than uploaded to Tide. When you open Pigment's font tools, your browser requests the selected font previews from Google Fonts. Google can receive standard request information such as your IP address, browser details, and the requested font under Google's privacy policy. Pigment's stricter security policy also blocks the analytics script described above, so visits to Pigment are not counted.

If you allow first-party measurement, we keep limited campaign attribution in your browser's session storage and send Tide a bounded record of meaningful actions, such as which Tide service, product, or resource you deliberately explored. Attribution keeps controlled campaign labels, Tide page paths without query strings, and only the origin of an external referring site, not its page path or query. Event records use random session and event identifiers, controlled offer identifiers, and page paths without query strings. We do not record generic clicks, scroll depth, your IP address, your name, your email address, your message, or other typed form values in this measurement table. If you submit a form, limited campaign and interest context can also accompany that submission. Browser session storage is cleared after the session; the pseudonymous event records stored by Tide are not used to follow you across other websites.

Cookies and advertising tracking

The Pinterest Tag stays off unless you allow Pinterest tracking in Tide's privacy choices. If you allow it, the tag can set cookies and send Pinterest information about the pages you view and meaningful actions you take. We use it to measure Pinterest content and campaigns and to reach people who may be interested in our work.

Meaningful actions can include opening checkout, starting a project inquiry, joining a launch list, or requesting a free resource. Tide's event payloads use stable page paths and offer identifiers; we do not put your name, email address, message, or other typed form values in those event payloads.

You can change your Tide choices at any time. Turning Pinterest tracking off stops Tide from sending new events, but it cannot remove data or cookies Pinterest already received. You can also clear cookies in your browser, use browser tracking protection, adjust your Pinterest account's Privacy and data settings, and read Pinterest's privacy policy.

Privacy Choices

How we use your information

We use it to respond to your inquiry and provide our services, to send you the free resource or launch notification you asked for, to deliver products you purchase along with their receipts, and to understand which resources and topics are useful to our audience. If you separately subscribe to the Tide Digest, we use your email to send that monthly digest. We don't sell your personal information.

Who we share it with

We rely on a few trusted services, each operating under its own privacy policy. Resend delivers our form submissions to our inbox and sends you confirmation emails. Supabase securely stores resource and waitlist signup records, digest consent records, and consented first-party measurement events. Cloudflare hosts and protects the site, including Pigment's isolated tool origin, and provides the cookieless traffic analytics described above. Google Fonts supplies font previews when you use Pigment's font tools. Polar processes purchases as our merchant of record. Pinterest receives tracking data through the Pinterest Tag described above only when you allow it. We share your information only as needed for these services, or where required by law.

Data retention

We keep your information only as long as we need it to respond to you, deliver what you asked for, fulfill orders, or meet our legal and tax obligations. Tide targets 180-day retention for consented pseudonymous measurement events. The application attempts to delete older events whenever it accepts a new measurement batch. Because that cleanup depends on new measurement traffic, records can remain past the target if no new batches arrive or cleanup is temporarily unavailable; they are deleted on the next successful batch cleanup or manual quarterly audit. If you unsubscribe from the Tide Digest, we keep a limited suppression record of that choice so we do not add the address back to the recurring list without new consent.

Your choices

Every Tide Digest includes a private unsubscribe link. Using it changes only your digest preference; it does not cancel a download, purchase, or launch alert you requested separately. You can also ask us to access, correct, or delete your personal information at any time by emailing hello@tidesocialstudio.com. You can use the privacy choices above to decline or withdraw optional first-party measurement and Pinterest tracking.

Depending on where you live, for example in the EU, the UK, or California, you may have additional rights over your data, such as the right to request a copy of it or object to how it's used. Email us and we'll honor them.

Children

This site isn't directed to children under 16, and we don't knowingly collect their information.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version will always be posted here with its date.
