This license covers the graphics you obtain directly from Tide Social Studio: the free Cut-Paper Sampler, the Color Club and After Hours collections and their bundle, the Soft Objects palettes, the Soft Objects Complete Collection and the free Soft Objects Sampler, the Type in Motion typography collection, the Swell Studies coastal collection, the Surf Zine coastal collage collection, the Unhurried Pencil Graphics illustrated collection (formerly Little Notes), the Playful Paper cut-paper-style collection, the Wallpaper Edit background collection, the Blue Mediterranean watercolor collection, the Beach-Town Souvenirs seaside keepsake collection, the Postcard Days travel illustration collection, the Blank Space layout component collection, the Cloth House textile-inspired background collection, the Soft Regards phrase and illustration collection, The Keepsake Edit scrapbook collection, the Gloss Studio beauty and fashion collection, the Sweet Mischief painterly graphics collection, the Fancy That background collection, the Little Attachments charm collection, the Forgetful Glitter Graphics Y2K collection (formerly Signal Noise), the Fine Thread textile collection, the Hard Copy graphics collection, the Night Garden botanical collection, the Glass Theory frosted-glass collection, the Leisure Society ink illustration collection, the Wild Form animal illustration collection, the Small Comforts folk illustration collection, the Paprika Patio silhouette collection, the Prairie Postmark Graphics Western collection, the Twin Render Graphics motif collection, the Button Jar Icons icon set, the Christmas Cupboard Digital Paper collection, the Ribbon Season Digital Paper collection, the Woolly Mantel Paper plaid collection, and any later graphics collection Tide releases under it. The same permissions apply to free and paid graphics. A paid collection provides more graphics; it does not provide exclusive rights or additional creator seats.
A copy of this license is included with every graphics download: as LICENSE.txt in the cut-paper, Playful Paper, Wallpaper Edit, Blue Mediterranean, Beach-Town Souvenirs, Postcard Days, Blank Space, Cloth House, Soft Regards, Gloss Studio, Forgetful Glitter Graphics, Hard Copy, Night Garden, Wild Form, Small Comforts, Paprika Patio, Prairie Postmark Graphics, Twin Render Graphics, Button Jar Icons, Christmas Cupboard Digital Paper, Ribbon Season Digital Paper, and Woolly Mantel Paper downloads, as License.txt in The Keepsake Edit, Sweet Mischief, Fancy That, Little Attachments, Fine Thread, Glass Theory, and Leisure Society downloads, as GRAPHICS-LICENSE.txt in the Soft Objects downloads, and as Usage-Terms.txt in the Type in Motion, Swell Studies, Surf Zine, and Unhurried Pencil Graphics downloads, where the copy also names the designs, palettes and files it covers. Each copy is labeled with its version. Most are version 1.0, and Swell Studies is version 1.1, which describes its SVG files. In October 2026, Fancy That, Hard Copy, Little Attachments, Night Garden, Signal Noise, Small Comforts, and Wild Form moved to version 1.1, and Type in Motion, Playful Paper, Wallpaper Edit, Postcard Days, Blank Space, Cloth House, and paid Cut-Paper moved to version 1.2. Each new version names SVG bundles among the files you may not hand over to a client. For Fancy That, Hard Copy, Little Attachments, Night Garden, Signal Noise, Blank Space, and Postcard Days, section 6 also now says how the designs were made. On October 13, 2026, Little Notes was renamed Unhurried Pencil Graphics and Signal Noise was renamed Forgetful Glitter Graphics; each license moved to version 1.2, which changes only the collection's name, and the earlier versions stay below for buyers who have them. Until a collection's download is repacked, the license file inside it may still be the earlier version; the version linked here is the current one. The permissions are otherwise the same in every copy; this page sets them so they are easier to read. Button Jar Icons’ license also covers using individual icons in the interface of a finished website, app, or software product, including the icon files it needs to run.
The Social Design Set holds the Unhurried Pencil Graphics, Wallpaper Edit, and Blank Space collections whole, and each keeps its own copy of this license, unchanged: Usage-Terms.txt in the Unhurried Pencil Graphics folder and LICENSE.txt in the other two, the same copies linked above. The set adds no license of its own, no creator seats, and no exclusive rights. One Creator uses each collection under its own copy.
1. Who may use the files
One license covers one named person, the Creator. A business may obtain the license for an employee or contractor. The Creator may use multiple devices and private storage accounts. Every additional person who accesses or uses the reusable graphic files for creative reuse needs their own license for those graphics. The permitted finished-design display, client delivery, hosting and technical production access described in sections 3 and 4 are exceptions; passive viewers and providers doing only that permitted technical handling do not need creator seats. A free sampler license can be obtained through Tide's own free download.
A business may permanently replace its designated Creator when that person leaves the role, provided the former Creator loses access to and deletes the reusable files. Seats may not be pooled or rotated to cover multiple creators.
2. Permission granted
Subject to these terms, Tide grants the Creator nonexclusive, worldwide permission to store, copy, resize, crop, recolor, modify and combine the supplied graphics for unlimited personal, business and client projects. The permission for the obtained version has no time limit unless terminated under section 9. No attribution to Tide or per-project royalty is required. For a paid collection, this permission begins after successful payment and acceptance of the license. The free sampler requires no payment.
Permitted uses include social posts, advertisements, websites, email graphics, presentations, packaging, printed marketing, editorial content, and finished digital publications such as ebooks and reports.
You may also sell physical goods, including print-on-demand goods, featuring a Finished Design. There is no numerical project, client or unit limit.
A Finished Design combines the graphics with your own text, photography, illustration or other design work into a larger composition serving a distinct purpose. It must not function as a replacement for the supplied graphics. Recoloring, resizing, rotating, changing format or adding only a name or short caption to a supplied graphic does not make standalone asset resale permitted.
3. Clients and finished deliverables
You may charge clients for your work and deliver Finished Designs for public or private use. Clients and purchasers of permitted finished products may display, publish, print and distribute those Finished Designs. They do not need a separate license merely to receive or use a finished composition. They do not receive permission to extract or reuse the component graphics.
For editable client files, either flatten the Tide graphics together with the other design content into a finished composition, or ensure each recipient who can access the graphics separately has their own license for them. Client text can remain editable above a flattened completed composition. Grouping, locking or hiding a separate graphic layer is not flattening. Do not hand over a reusable graphic library, blank template or raw file bundle.
Ordinary display within a finished webpage is permitted, including necessary web-ready image files. This does not permit an asset-download gallery or an offer for visitors to extract and reuse the graphics.
4. Private tools and production services
The Creator may upload files to a private Canva account or another private design workspace and keep reasonable working and backup copies. Shared asset libraries require a license for every creator with access. Public template links and public stock or asset libraries are not permitted.
Printers, hosting providers and other technical production services may receive only the files needed to produce or host a permitted project for you or your client. They receive no independent right to reuse the graphics. Other people doing creative work with the reusable files need their own licenses. Follow the applicable editor, hosting and platform terms.
5. Uses not included
You may not:
- Sell, share, gift, sublicense or redistribute the supplied graphic files, individual components, or modified substitutes as reusable assets, whether alone or in a pack, membership, course, download or other bundle.
- Sell or give away the graphics through multi-customer templates, including Canva templates, social-template packs, presentation templates or website themes. A completed client-specific design is governed by section 3.
- Sell a supplied graphic essentially on its own as a sticker, art print, pattern, digital sticker or other product that substitutes for the asset.
- Make the files available through a self-service design generator, stock library, public dataset or reusable asset-extraction service.
- Use the supplied graphics as a logo or trademark, register them as a brand mark, or claim exclusive rights over the supplied graphics.
- Imply that Tide endorses you or your product, or falsely claim that the supplied graphics were created entirely by you or entirely without AI.
These restrictions also apply after you modify or combine the files. You may link others to Tide's sampler page so they can obtain their own copy.
6. Origin and rights
Creative direction and curation are provided by Tide. Each collection's product page and read-me state how its artwork was made. Postcard Days was created with AI-assisted original vector drawing and is supplied as color-editable SVGs with matching transparent PNGs. Blank Space was generated with AI-assisted original vector drawing and is supplied as color-editable SVGs, with no individual PNG artwork. The artwork in the other current collections was generated with AI from design instructions and prepared as transparent PNGs, or, for Wallpaper Edit and Cloth House, as opaque PNG backgrounds. Type in Motion, Swell Studies, Unhurried Pencil Graphics, Playful Paper, Wallpaper Edit, and the paid Cut-Paper collections also include each design as a flat vector SVG with editable colors. Cloth House includes flatter vector SVG companions with editable solid colors for 180 of its 200 designs; its 20 woven texture studies are supplied as PNGs only. The graphics are supplied on a nonexclusive basis. Similar graphics may exist or be generated for other people. Tide does not promise that every individual graphic is unique, eligible for copyright registration, or protected by copyright in every jurisdiction.
Tide grants only the rights and permissions it can grant. These terms do not claim ownership of public-domain material, general shapes, ideas, or rights Tide does not hold. You and your clients keep your rights in your own original text, photos and other contributions. No exclusive ownership of the supplied graphics is transferred, and no third party's trademark or other rights are cleared by this license. Follow laws and platform rules for your end use.
7. Files and support
Unless a product page says otherwise, a graphics product consists of transparent raster PNGs. Colors and texture are baked into the pixels; no editable vectors or font software are supplied unless the product page says so. Where a collection includes pattern patches, they are single accents and not seamless repeating tiles. Native dimensions are listed in the included inventory.
The obtained version is covered. Future collections, major versions, customization and ongoing support are included only when expressly offered. For a missing, faulty or misdescribed file, contact hello@tidesocialstudio.com.
8. Purchases and consumer rights
For paid products, payment, delivery and refunds also follow the purchase terms shown before checkout, including applicable merchant terms. Tide's current service policy offers a 14-day make-it-right or refund window for faulty or misdescribed digital products. That service window does not shorten any statutory guarantee, cancellation, refund or other mandatory right. Nothing in this license limits rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be limited. Tide does not guarantee sales results, exclusivity or trademark registrability. This license does not replace rights concerning faulty goods.
9. Duration and breach
Tide may terminate permission for a material breach that you do not correct within 14 days after written notice. Deliberate public redistribution or resale of the reusable files may result in immediate termination, subject to applicable law. After termination, stop new uses and delete reusable files under your control. Finished Designs lawfully published or delivered before termination may continue to be used, including your own existing website compositions and posts; the restrictions on extracting graphics still apply.
10. Agreement and contact
This license is provided for review before you accept it at checkout or free download. The accepted version governs your obtained files. Later changes apply to later transactions unless you separately accept them. If these terms and Tide's general website terms differ about permitted use of these graphics, these product-specific permissions control that issue.
Virginia law governs, subject to mandatory protections that apply where you live. An unenforceable provision does not affect the remaining provisions to the extent allowed by law. This license and the applicable purchase terms form the agreement for use of these graphics.
